Climate
Despite being at the same latitude as Alaska, Greenland and Siberia, Sweden has a pleasant climate in comparison to these countries. Sweden's climate is influenced by the Gulf Stream, a warm ocean flow that flows off the west coast of Norway. Sweden's many lakes and the Gulf of Bothnia give Sweden a relatively mild climate.

Tipping & paying
The official currency is the Swedish Krona. You don’t have to leave a tip in restaurants, since the bill already has a service charge added to the total. However, if you’re satisfied with the service, it’s normal to leave some extra change.
Languages & useful phrases
The official language of Sweden is Swedish. However, most of the population also speaks English. In Swedish, "hej" = hello; "snälla du" = please; "tack" = thank you; ”ursäkta” = sorry.
What you should do
Be on time, punctuality in business is very important. Swedes usually get to the office on time and leave on time—work-life balance is extremely valued. Swedes are practical, accurate and reserved. When communicating, be clear and concise.
What you shouldn’t do
Swedes are usually modest and don’t appreciate ostentation nor people who show what they achieve in an exaggerated way.
What to wear
Go for a professional and neat look, but you can be less formal and more relaxed. For meetings, it may be safer to choose something more formal—a suit and tie for men and the equivalent for women.
First impressions
When meeting someone for the first time, greet them with a handshake. If you’re invited to someone's house, take a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers as a thank you gesture.
