Düsseldorf and Bordeaux
This month we feature two of the six new TAP destinations in Europe for summer 2011.
Bordeaux, the airline’s new destination in France, joins five other cities currently served – Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse – totalling 149 flights per week between the two countries.
TAP’s Lisbon-Bordeaux operation will start with six connections per week, moving to a daily service at the start of June. The new Bordeaux route will use Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft.
With Düsseldorf, TAP’s new destination in Germany, there are now 55 weekly flights linking the two countries, along with three other cities already served by our air carrier – Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.
With five connections per week, the direct flights operate on Mondays and Sundays, departing from Lisbon at 8.00 am and arriving in Düsseldorf at 11.55 am, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Lisbon at 2.30 pm and arriving at 6.25 pm.
In the opposite direction, the flights take off from Düsseldorf at 12.40 pm on Mondays and Sundays, arriving in Lisbon at 2.30 pm, and depart from Düsseldorf at 7.10 pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving at 9.05 pm.
The new Düsseldorf route uses Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 162 passengers.
Bordeaux and Düsseldorf join Accra (Ghana), Athens (Greece), Bamako (Mali), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Manchester (United Kingdom), Miami (United States of America), Porto Alegre (Brazil), São Vicente (Cape Verde) and Vienna (Austria) on the list of new destinations announced by TAP for 2011.
